Pottery classes for Girl Scout Troops are year round. Please contact us if your troop is interested.
An opportunity to take pottery class is now available. This personable, small class of 6 or less will be just what you need to kick start your creativity! I will be teaching wheel, coil, pinch and slab technique for anyone ages 9 & up. You will also learn how to glaze your own pieces. All supplies needed will be supplied (clay, tools, brushes, glazes, firing, etc) , just bring a bottle of water and "play" clothes to get dirty. Cost is $115.00. Payment must be received in-order to reserve your spot. Location is near Leesville Rd & I-540.
This is a great opportunity for families to do together, mother/daughter or son time, or just friends. I look forward to seeing you soon!
Classes will be starting in spring/summer and fall. Dates TBO soon.
Pottery class can be done year round if done with air dry clay. If you want kiln fired pottery clay, classes can be personalized to your needs.
Each pottery piece is a handcrafted one of kind by North Carolina potter, Vanessa Baughman. I use techniques of wheel throwing, hand building or both together. My designs come from the many wonders of nature. The clay I use is medium to high fire clay's in brown and white colors. Most glazes are made at our studio. All the glazes are non-toxic, dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe (preheat with oven) unless labeled with a (lead-glaze) mark. I hope you enjoy each piece with its unique aesthetics, feel, and function.
We transformed our large shed into the pottery studio and gallery, which has always been a dream of mine. We call it the "pottery shed." If you are in the area and would like to stop by, feel free to make an appointment by using theContact page.
Check out theCharitiespage for more information on how we give back with every sale.
Our studio is about 1.5 hours Northeast of Seagrove the pottery mecca of North Carolina.
